Safety: The snow and ice season is upon us - please remember to wear appropriate footwear to reduce the number of slips, trips and falls.

We are raffling off a winter-themed quilt donated by the Josh Peck Foundation to help raise funds to purchase an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for our nurse’s office. Josh Peck’s mother is a resident of Winslow and has worked with many area schools to obtain AEDs.  We thank her for the donation of the quilt. You can find more information about Josh Peck and the mission of the Josh Peck Foundation at and by clicking on the Josh Peck home page at this site. The donated quilt is presently on display in main office lobby. The tickets are available for a $1 donation for each ticket or 6 tickets for a $5 donation. The drawing for the quilt will be December 19. We thank you in advance for your support.

WES students continue to help in the community. Let's recognize all the students who are helping with the Humane Society once again (fall/winter 2014).

If you are a student volunteering in the community, please have your parents let the webmaster know by emailing a picture with a little write-up to the webmaster link at the bottom of the page. It will have to be approved before getting posted to the website, but the more positive it is, the happier others become. Spread the "warm sunshine," especially on these cold, winter days.

Winslow Elementary School Philosophy
Winslow Elementary School recognizes that the school is an integral part of the community.
We will contribute to the development of its citizens by modeling respect for family, the community, and the world.
We celebrate the diversity of individuals and are committed to providing students with an opportunity to learn in a way that is most advantageous to each. All students will feel wanted, needed, valued, and safe.
The success of this school shall be measured not only by the literacy and broad knowledge base which encourages life-long learning, but also by the happy faces, healthy bodies, and curious minds it develops.
